After heart surgery, Mick still "Moves Like Jagger"
It was almost two months ago that the Rolling Stones announced they were forced to postpone their upcoming summer tour. Mick Jagger was undergoing surgery to replace a heart valve. Fans of the band were "Shattered." Millions had purchased pricey tickets, myself included, looking forward to a night of great music with the legends. We're disappointed the night would be delayed but "You Can't Always Get What You Want." We'd get over it...maybe.
The good news is in 2019, Mick's surgery is common and safe. Jagger was going to be fine. Phew! If something happened to Mick, we would "Miss You" for sure!
A few weeks ago, we saw a video of Mick taking a walk. This was a week after the surgery. It showed he was recovering, but slowly. Yesterday, he dropped another video. Jagger is back in the dance studio; trying to get back in shape to get ready to hit the road and play music again. Mick and his moves looked great. He was definitely not "Dancing with Mr. D."
The tour is back on. The official announcement was made this morning. All the Stones fan who were having their "19th Nervous Breakdown" are going to be "Happy" about this news. The concert cancellations and the worrying about Mick took a toll on his fans. The good news is an "Emotional Rescue."
So Mick, glad to see you're feeling better. I'm looking forward to being there on June 21 when you come to Chicago. It'll take more than "Wild Horses" to keep me away. It should be a great night. Yeah I know "It's Only Rock N Roll" BUT I DO LIKE IT!!!!
