All I want for Father's Day is brunch with my children
It's Mother's Day on the television show "Everybody Loves Raymond." Marie and Debra Barone have been fighting for weeks. Their argument is going to ruin the traditional Mother's Day brunch. Robert has had enough of this. He needs his brunch.
Look what your fight is doing to the family! It's Mother's Day, and you're ruining it. This day is supposed to be for appreciating each other, not shutting each other out. We should not be wallowing in hate, we should be wallowing in a beautiful brunch of belgian waffles and berries. And sausages of both link and patty!
The traditional brunch on Mother's Day! Sounds good, doesn't it? Waffles-good. Berries-good. Sausages-good. Link and patties are a bit much. Either one works. I don't blame Robert for being pissed about missing brunch. I'd be pissed off, too.
But what about Father's Day? We want brunch, too! I want my waffles! Yeah, I'd like to have chicken with my waffle (I seem to be having a chicken & waffles obsession lately), but I'd be ecstatic with some maple syrup and berries. It's not asking too much, is it? What's good for mom is good for dad!
So here's a message to my people. It's simple and small. I don't need any expensive presents. I don't need a heartwarming Father's Day card. All I want is some time with my family while having some breakfast food. Just waffles. Just berries. Just sausages. Just wallowing sounds like a great day. Robert Barone would approve.
