Are you excited for the Law & Order reboot?

The mothership is coming home.
After more than a ten-year hiatus, the original Law & Order is returning. We don't exactly when. We don't know if any of the old cast will return. The only thing we do know is that it's back, baby!
I loved this show throughout most of its twenty-year run. I loved the half police, half prosecution format. I loved the stories. I loved most of the characters, although don't get me started about Fred Thompson.
It's always disappointing when beloved programs finish without a real ending. Law & Order closed that way when creator Dick Wolf and NBC couldn't come to an agreement for what would have been a record-breaking twenty-first season.
So much in the world has occurred since Law & Order aired for what we thought was the last time on May 24, 2010. Because its episodes are somewhat based on real-life events, there's plenty of new stories to explore.
Dick Wolf's reaction to this new development, "There are very few things in life that are literally dreams come true. This is mine." For the fans of the original Law & Order, it's our dream, too.
