December is over. 2022 is over. And in a few hundred or so words, this series of Month in Review articles will be over. December has been crazy. Let's get started and see just how crazy it's been:
It began with Kanye West having a chat with Alex Jones. Ye shocked him when he said, “I see good things in Hitler.” You know you're off the deep end when you say something that shocks Alex Jones.
Kanye next had a meal with Donald Trump and Nick Fuentes. This grouping led many Jewish leaders to condemn Trump. That pissed off the former president because he thinks those guys should be behind him 24/7/365 because of all the great things he's done for Jews. Hey Don, here's some advice, don't associate with guys who reference Hitler as a regular part of their vernacular and maybe you'll get some support from the Jewish community. I'm not saying it's likely, just maybe.
Donald wasn't done with being pissed off. He was angry that Brittney Griner was released from a Russian prison. He feels she's undeserving because she hates our country when she kneels during the National Anthem. Yeah, the guy who tried to overthrow the results of an election and then stole classified documents is an expert on who hates the United States.
You'd think that would be enough with The Donald, but it never ends with him. Two weeks ago, I was sitting at a bar in a restaurant, when a commercial came on for Donald Trump Virtual Trading Cards. $99/pack. I didn't say anything but noticed the man sitting next to me shaking his head. I caught his eye and laughed. His response was, “The grift never ends.” TRUE! The funniest thing about this grift is many of his followers who bought the virtual cards weren't techie enough to access them. Do you think they also expected them to come with a piece of bubble gum?
And then there's his offspring…On the day Ukrainian President VolodymyrZelynskyy came to Washington to meet with President Biden and speak to Congress, Don Jr. felt a need to make his unwanted opinion known. He called him an “Ungrateful welfare queen.” This is from a dude who has never done anything on his own and is running a company built by his grandfather into the ground. His wealth is entirely due to being born into it, yet he has the nerve to call anyone, much less someone fighting for the lives of his countrymen and the survival of his country, ungrateful and a welfare queen.
It wouldn't be December without a Christmas story. Nothing says the Christmas spirit like Texas Governor Greg Abbott busing refugees, who risked everything trying to get to America to give themselves and their families a better, safer life, to Washington D.C., without any money or warm clothing. How charitable of him.
Talking about Abbott, Texas congressman Joaquin Castro was a recent guest on MSNBCs’s Alex Wagner Live. When guest host Alicia Melendez asked him if he had any advice for border Governors Abbott, Doug Ducey and Ron DeSantis, he came up with “Don’t be a prick.” I was so stunned to hear this that I had to hear it over five more times to be sure. However, it’s not bad advice not only for these three but everyone.
Remember back in 2020, when there was an attempted kidnapping of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer? Two of the thirteen involved in the plot were sentenced recently to sixteen and nineteen years in prison. During the trial, it came out that there wasn’t a plan for what they were going to do with Whitmer if they successfully abducted her. Now it looks like they’ll have almost two decades to figure out a more rational plan for when they try this again. Idiots!
Then there’s the George Santos election to Congress story. Everything that came out of his mouth and on his resume was a lie. He agreed to a Fox News interview with Tulsi Gabbard that went so poorly, she exclaimed, “Do you have no shame?” Wow! What do you have left when you've lost Tulsi Gabbard? Yet, as of this writing, he's still expected to be seated in the House of Representatives later today. Go figure. Welcome to 2022 and now 2023.
One more thing about George Santos… the man he defeated is named Robert Zimmerman, which is the given name of Bob Dylan. Hmmm…what Dylan tune fits George and this situation? “Idiot Wind?”
Finally, we end the month, year and series with the death of the former Pope, Benedict XVI. One of the things standing out in his many obituaries was that he was considered a strict traditionalist. He’s the only person to have the title of ‘former Pope’ in six hundred years. How much of a traditionalist can you be if you’re the first Pope to resign in six centuries?
That's it for December, 2022 and this series. Thanks for reading, but for now, as Zimmerman once said…“It’s All Over, Baby Blue.”
absolutely brilliant!
Great recap of the idiot/idiots!
