Do you have musicians you want to see in concert before they or you die?
In the last few years, musicians have been dying off in what seems to be record numbers. David Bowie. Glenn Frey. Prince. Lou Reed, Keith Richards....oh wait Keith is still here. But you get the point. The musicians of my generation are now in their seventies or close to it so their shelf life is getting close to the expiration date. And if not them, I am, although not too soon.
I didn't do this consciously but in the last few years I've been seeing a lot of concerts performed by artists and bands I was seeing for the first time. Chrissy Hynde, John Fogerty, Tedeschi-Trucks, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Alabama Shakes, Sheryl Crow, Joe Bonnamassa and Leon Russell are just some of the artists I've seen. Glad I got to catch Leon because he died a few months after his concert.
But I'm starting to make an extra effort to see more acts for the first time. If not now, when. Better get them before it's too late.
I made a list and in the gallery you can see who I'm trying to see. It's a concert bucket list kind of thing.

So that's my list. What do you think and who is on your concert bucket list?
