Donald Trump vs Hillary Clinton or Chicago Cubs vs Los Angeles Dodgers: A television conundrum

It's been a stressful autumn.

What can I say about the election that hasn't already been said?

Donald Trump....walls, rigged election, nine women. Hillary Clinton....emails, emails, emails. No matter who you support, you aren't going to be happy if the results don't go your way.

Then there's baseball....sigh.

If you're a local reader, you know the Cubs story. Best regular season team in the sport.103 wins. Great chance to break the 108 year losing streak. Yeah...all that crap! The playoffs are so different. You're nervous on every pitch. Plus the Cubs are now down in the series two games to one. Running through our heads are all the memories of past playoff series. Losing series. Bad memories. If you're a SoCal Dodger fan reader, you aren't all that chill, either. You're last World Series was in 1988...almost thirty years ago. Yeah...Kirk Gibson and Bulldog Hershiser. It was so long ago that my children weren't born yet and now they're adults. Okay...that just freaked me out and stressed me even more.

Now that I've messed with your brain, I'm going to mess with it a little more. What are you going to watch tonight?

Debate...baseball. Baseball...debate. It really is a conundrum.

You know the debate is going to be entertaining. There's going to be sniffing, lies, excuses...and that's just from the candidate's surrogates. If the first two debates were something we've never seen before, you have to know this one is going to be worse. This is the last chance the two candidates have to trash each other face to face. There's no way Don is going to pass up a final chance to tell Hillary that she should be in jail. It might not be Presidential but it sure is ninety minutes of good television.

BUT........

Cubs playoff baseball. Let's face it, it just doesn't happen that often. I know, I know...the Cubs have looked horrible in this series and I'm just setting myself up for more disappointment and heartbreak but it's the new era of Cubs baseball. Bryant. Rizzo. Theo. Madden. They're going to come back, right? These guys are going to be legends. How can I not watch?

The good news is the game starts an hour before the debate. Then what? Help!! Seriously....please help me with this decision?
