Donald Trump: What's with the sniffing?

"I haven't heard so much sniffing since the days of Studio 54."

Some funny guy said that on Facebook during Monday night's debate. Oh yeah, that funny dude was me. Do I really think the Donald was doing Coke before the debate? NOOOOO!

"Notice Trump sniffing all the time? Coke user?" That was a Tweet by Howard Dean. Does he really believe that? He did say it was unlikely but then doubled down with this, "It's something I think it'd be interesting to ask him and see if he ever had a problem with that."

See how easy it is to say things that have no basis in reality?

Saturday, I was at our local Parkinson's Moving Day walk. When you go to five of these things, you see the same people and develop some relationships. I had four discussions with people who had read this piece about Hillary Clinton that I wrote a week earlier. The post was about how people are saying Hillary has Parkinson's without any proof. Their comments were Hillary doesn't have PD but they think Trump does. It shocked me that they could come to that conclusion. Saying it makes it even worse.

This has been the most bizarre election in political history. There are plenty of things we can say about both candidates that are true. We don't need to make up stuff that isn't...even if the candidates themselves do. We can be better than them. Show some kindness and humanity at a time where that is little of that.
