Leo Fender, Parkinson's Disease and the World's Greatest Guitars
Monday, August 10th was the birthday of Leo Fender. He was the founder of the Fender company and their guitars changed the music business.
The Telecaster was invented in 1950, the Stratocaster in 1954 and both are still among the most popular instruments used today.
Leo Fender died in 1991 after suffering with Parkinson's Disease for many years. He worked until the day before his death. A real example that life does go on after being diagnosed with a degenerative disease.
Here's a look at some of Leo Fender's iconic products.
