My Food Has Fallen And I Can't Pick It Up
I'm going out this weekend. Two different events. That's a big weekend for me.
Event #1 is a picnic on Saturday. Event #2 is Sunday breakfast with some former classmates (Skokie not HP).
What do these events have in common? FOOD!!
What's the problem with events that have food? Hands that aren't steady tend to drop food, spill drinks. It's part of the Parkinson's package. It's not pretty but it's not the worst thing about the disease.
However it is a little embarrassing and tends to keep people away from engaging in social situations. Makes them uncomfortable. I admit to some of that.
But now, thanks to my friends Paula Filler and Linda Kabot, who sent me this clip, I bring you Liftware!
Yep...for just $299 you can have a spoon that stops your tremors enough for you to enjoy a meal with friends and family....well sorta. You can if all you need is a spoon. The knife and fork utensils are still under development. I guess you can have a bowl of soup with your friends and family.
Where's Ron Popeil when you really need him?
