Parkinson's Patients Have Seen The Light
Each month the National Parkinson Foundation has a column called "What's Hot in PD?" It's written by the National Medical Director for the Foundation, Dr. Michael Okun.
This month he explores Light Therapy as a way of combating excessive daytime sleepiness, fatigue and sleep disorders.
There have been some studies to show that it may be helpful for aiding those problems but it still needs more research. As has been the case will other Parkinson's treatments, at best this just helps with the symptoms. The cure, I'm afraid, is still a long ways off.
