Porn at the Library
This was going to be a day off from the Blogosphere. See keyword WAS. That lasted until two hours ago at the library.
I was seeing one of my doctors. The office is right across from a branch of the Chicago Public Library. I had an hour to kill so that's where I went to spend a little time. Nothing unusual. I'm there fairly often. Plugged in the laptop. Played on Facebook. Listened to some tunes. And then it happened.
As I'm leaving, I pass a row of library computers. There's either eight or ten of them. I'm walking out the door, look to my left and I see a guy looking at a naked woman on one of the library computers. It took me a second to process it so I stepped back to have another peek.
Oh Yeah...she was definitely naked. Plus it was a video and she was on top of a guy and moving around. I think that's descriptive enough for most of you.
I had the doctor's visit so I didn't think anymore about it and went across the street. Half hour later, I'm done. All is good in Howie-land..at least for today. As I left the building my mind went back to the earlier visual...so I went back to the library. Sure enough, same guy, same computer, same woman, same act.
Sigh....Now I'm not against a guy..or girl...looking at a little porn. I'm not even sure it qualifies as porn. None of my business. I'm just curious about two things?
a. Isn't looking at the same thing for 1/2 hour plus, a little boring? b. Why at the library? (answers below)
a- I think it's boring. I like a little variety in my porn but ok. Everyone's different. Individual choice.
b- This is where I come up almost empty. I always wonder what goes through people's mind when they make choices. The guy gets a turn at the computer. There's a man to his left. A woman to his right. And decides he this is the time to watching a couple having sex...for more than half an hour? Really? Plus there are librarians walking around constantly. Another sigh.
If I was cool enough to think about it then, I would have asked the guy for interview for this piece but I wasn't...plus I didn't want to interrupt anything.
I just left. Didn't tell any of the librarians. Like I said, not really my business. If anyone was offended, they could tell the staff, right? RIGHT?
Btw...let's be clear, there were no children in the library.
Ah yes...quite the day..snow in the morning, porn in the afternoon. Both measured in inches.
That's how things go in the Naked City.
