Taylor Swift is doing more to the Maga movement than writing a song about them

“It's terrible how anti-American Taylor Swift has become over the years. She wasn't raised that way.”

“Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are everything wrong with America today.”

“Taylor Swift is dumb and her music sucks.”

“Taylor Swift is a garbage human being with dog-shit music.”

“Taylor Swift…gag. Remember when that bitch was all over Twitter telling everyone to vote Democrat? Fuck you, bitch!!”

The quotes above have all been posted in the last two days. The one thing they have in common is Maga Republicans wrote all of them. Apparently Swift attending the Bears-Chiefs football game on Sunday to watch her friend (boyfriend?) Travis Kelce play triggered them.

What are the repercussions of this? It looks like there will be a Maga boycott of Taylor Swift. She now joins the group of Bud Light, Target and Disney. WOW! I’m sure she’s so worried about this that she can’t sleep. How many Magaites are among the folks that have bought over two hundred million of her records? How many Magaites are among the folks that have attended her “Eras” tour that is looking like it will become the biggest concert tour of all time?

Here’s what the real repercussions are. Taylor Swift gets her fans registered to vote. This simple Instagram post got it started:

I’ve been so lucky to see so many of you guys at my US shows recently. I’ve heard you raise your voices, and I know how powerful they are. Make sure you’re ready to use them in our elections this year!”

That led more than one hundred seventy thousand eligible voters to visit Vote.org. More than thirty-five thousand of them registered to vote. All of this in one day. And don’t for a second believe she’s done. Taylor has more than two hundred seventy million Instagram followers. That’s 270,000,000 people who could be influenced to vote for who Taylor tells them to vote for…and that isn’t going to be Donald Trump.

So keep it up Maga-types. Before she’s done with you you’ll wish that she would have only written a song about this. Oh yeah, that’s going to happen, too.
