The Corner of Healthy and Happy
Last week I wrote about my new primary physician. You know...the guy who used the f-word a couple of times.
Friday, I get a call from his office. He wants me to take another pill. Fine. What's one more, right?
This pill is suppose to give me more energy. In the two days I've had it, I've needed a two hour nap each day. That's cool. I like naps.
It's also given me a sore throat. Not nearly as cool as the naps. Off to my nearest Walgreens.
All I wanted was something cold to drink but as long as I'm there, might as well look around.
Hmmm...wonder if they have any watercolor paints? Good idea because I apparently need another creative outlet that doesn't pay anything. Phew...no paints. These color pencils do look interesting though.
Then it's off to the stationary department. I need a notebook for my April series of Parkinson's blogs. (shameless plug)
I found this one. I looked around for a Dad's journal. Nothing, nada, zip. Sheesh!
I did find this. How much fun is this? Each letter is a different color. What a great way to write about a serious topic. It could be my version of The Producers. "Springtime for Hitler" is playing in my head.
Ok, now why did I come here...oh yeah, Cupcakes. Hostess. Yes...the orange ones. Two packs. After all this is the corner of healthy and happy.
As I'm checking out, the woman behind me asked, "Does your mother know you eat those?"
I replied, "My mom's dead and I bought one of them for you, B*@^H!"
Too bad I was halfway home before I thought of that. Don't you just hate when that happens?
Oh shit....I forgot the cold drink. I guess I could stop at 7/11. I wonder if they have watercolors.
