The Covid-19 vaccine kept me out of the hospital as it was supposed to do
Nicki Minaj on Twitter: "My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding."
Daris Friend, Gainesville, Florida city employee: “The vaccine changes your RNA, so for me that’s a problem.”
Tucker Carlson, Fox News Host, "Maybe it doesn't work and they aren't telling you that."
The quotes above about the Covid-19 vaccine are either lies or misinformation. The people making them not only know better but they and others who are spreading their lies in the name of politics and/or television ratings have themselves been vaccinated.
The vaccination is supposed to do two things:
a. Keep you from dying from Covid-19. b If you have a breakthrough case of Covid, keep it manageable so you don't have to be hospitalized.
And in spite of what you're hearing from the ilk like the above trio, it's working as planned. Since the beginning of the vaccination, more than ninety-nine percent of all Covid deaths have been people who were unvaccinated. That's right....more than 99%!!!!
But what about the breakthrough cases of Covid....those who have been vaccinated but came down with Covid. No one ever said the vaccine was perfect, but for breakthrough cases, it does do the two things as advertised....keep you alive and out of the hospital.
If you have doubts about this, I'll give you an example....ME!!!!
A little more than two weeks I came down with what I thought was either the flu or a bad cold. It had all of those symptoms including, chills a fever, lots of sneezing, a runny nose and a bad cough. I felt bad but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle for the first few days.
About four days in, the cough turned worse. Each hack sent sharp shooting pains in my ribs. It was painful enough that I ended up at urgent care on Labor Day. I was hoping for some medicine to ease the pain from the cough. The doctor recommended I take a rapid Covid test. It came back positive.
But, instead of sending me to the hospital, the doctor sent me home. He told me to stay there for ten days. A week later ( I had already been in quarantine for five days), I was fine. Yeah, the cough is lingering but I can deal with that. The reason I was able to recover so easily is I WAS VACCINATED! I had no doubt about that and have had a couple of doctors verify it. The vaccine worked exactly how it was supposed to work.
So, if you're still on the fence about the vaccine, you can listen to people like Nicki, Tucker and Daris and end up in the hospital or worse, or you can listen to someone who actually went through the experience of Covid and came out relatively unscathed. Those are your choices. I know who I'd listen to.
