The Eagles' Glenn Frey dies at age 67. His life in music and pictures
If you would have asked me which member of the Eagles would be the first to die, my last guess would have been Glenn Frey. He always seemed to be in the best shape and healthy, especially for a rock musician. Looks can be deceiving.
It's been a bad start to 2016 in the music world. Last Monday, David Bowie died and today we lost Glenn Frey, after a bout with Colitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Pneumonia.
Frey, along with Don Henley founded the Eagles in 1971. The Eagles were one of the most successful rock bands of all time. They sold over 150 million records worldwide, which made them the biggest selling US band ever. Frey also had a successful solo career as well as acting in tv shows such as Miami Vice.
The Eagles were scheduled to be part of last years Kennedy Center Honors program but postponed the celebration due to Frey's illness.
