There's A Dating Site For Everyone
Yesterday I was watching a Friends rerun. Btw...are Ross & Rachel still together? I think no but I digress.
Anyway, I see this commercial for Farmersonly.com. It's a dating site for Farmers, Ranchers and anyone who loves the rural lifestyle. It makes sense, I guess. Where else are Farmers/Ranchers going to meet? When they ride into town to get their supplies at the general store?
I started thinking there must be a lot of these specialty dating sites. Oh man, are there!
Let's start with religion. I found fourteen sites for Christians. Nine for Jews. There's even Arabiandate.com for Muslims. Seriously!!
But there's no law that says you have to be a member of that religion to be on the site. Let's say you're a Jewish guy/girl and you don't particularly like Jewish Princesses/princes, or more likely, you just want to fuck with your parents, CatholicSingles might be the site for you. Hey...it's just an example.
There are sites for people with political interests. There's DemocraticPeopleMeet for liberals and RepublicanPeopleMeet for conservatives. I wonder if James Carville and Mary Matalin met while checking out the other party?
You name an interest or lifestyle and there's a dating site for you.
Books, sci-fi, geeks, vegetarians, Apple product lovers and Ivy League graduates have their own dating sites. Having multiple interests increases your odds. If you're a Vegan Harvard grad, you've doubled your chances of finding love.
Do any of these specialty sites work? I'm trying to picture Ben Cartwright turning on his laptop and checking out rancher chicks in Virginia City. Just can't get there.
I dunno...that farmer couple cuddling and holding hands sure looked happy. At first I thought it was a Cialis commercial and I guess that's part of the appeal. Maybe she's making goo goo eyes at him and thinking, 'I sure hope he has a four hour erection.'
I really like giving relationship/dating advice. I wrote this one about how to have a great first date.
I'm getting tired of telling you how to subscribe to my blog. Three words...email address/click. DONE!!
