They call it Melanoma Monday
They call it Melanoma Monday
But Tuesday's just as bad
They call it Melanoma Monday
But Tuesday's just as bad
Lord, and Wednesday's worse
And Thursday's all so bad
The eagle flies on Friday
Saturday I go out to play
Today is Melanoma Monday. It occurs on the first Monday in the month of May, which is Melanoma Awareness Month. In 2021, in the United State, it's predicted that there will be more than 100,000 new cases of Melanoma, while more than 7,000 will die of the disease.
On this day, I like to give out a few tips to help keep you safe and will help you from becoming one of the above statistics. Here they are:
.Stay out out of the sun during peak hours
.Use sunscreen
.Wear hats
.Do a monthly body check
.Stay out of tanning beds
One more thing, see your dermatologist once a year for a full professional body check. If you don't have a dermatologist, get one.
Follow my simple advice and I won't have to write about you on Melanoma Monday 2022.
