Today Is The 30th Anniversary of Farm Aid
Farm Aid 30 comes to Chicago this afternoon. The concert takes place at FirstMerit Bank Pavillion at Northerly Island along the lakefront. Among the headliners are original Farm Aid organizers Willie Nelson, John Melancamp and Neil Young.
The first event took place on September 22, 1985 in Champaign, Illinois.
According to Nelson, none of the performers are paid and more than $50 Million has been raise for farmers throughout the US.
