Woodstock at 50: It's about the music
When you think about Woodstock, what's the first thing that comes to mind? It should be the music. There has never been an event where so many legendary artists performed.
Thirty-three acts played over the three-plus days. The performances were relatively short; most ranging from forty-five minutes to one hour. The two exceptions were Jefferson Airplane and Jimi Hendrix. Both played early morning sets on Sunday and Monday. Hendrix's two hour act ended the festival.
