You Feel So Lonely You Can Die
A couple of weeks ago I saw a story about a man with Parkinson's Disease. He lamented how the physical and mental changes caused him to stop the activities he enjoyed plus affected his work life. It led to depression and had him thinking about suicide.
It's a big problem in the Parkinson's world. PD patients have a 40% higher rate of suicide attempts than the general population. It's one reason Parkinson's patients are urged to get a therapist and to be checked for depression yearly.
Among the Parkinson's patients who committed suicide are Robin Williams and Adolph Hitler, although both had other things going on that probably led to their suicides.
Obviously, depression and suicide has an effect on all walks of life. The pain on the people left behind last a lifetime and is hard if not impossible to recover from.
Here's a gallery of well known people who committed suicide.

Tomorrow is ChicagoNow's monthly Blogapolooza. There's a topic given at 9 pm and you have an hour to write and publish something. It's fun and challenging. I don't have a clue what the topic will be but that will be the focus of tomorrow's Gallery. Yikes! OY! Sigh! Good luck with that!! But, it has to be lighter than Cancer & Suicide....I hope. But to break the mood of death, here's a Gallery of Eric Clapton's best songs.
